Face Lift
Face Lift (Rhytidectomy)
A face lift is a surgical procedure that aims to restore a fresher appearance by addressing the sagging and deep lines that develop with age, while preserving the face's natural contours. The goal is a natural, understated result.
What is a face lift?
Over the years, the skin and underlying tissues loosen under gravity, and sagging appears in the cheeks, along the jawline and in the neck. A face lift aims for a fresher look by tightening and repositioning these tissues (including the SMAS layer), planned according to each person's facial structure.
Who may it be suitable for?
It may be considered in people in good general health who are bothered by sagging of the face and neck, loss of jawline definition, or deep wrinkles. Suitability is determined only through an examination.
Approaches
Depending on the need, different approaches such as a full face lift, mini face lift or neck lift may be used; in some cases more limited procedures are sufficient. The suitable method is decided by evaluating the person's tissue and expectations.
Recovery
Swelling and bruising can be expected in the first days and subside over time. Most people return to daily life within a few weeks. The exact duration varies by person and technique and is explained in detail during the examination.
