Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)
Septorhinoplasty (Aesthetics + Function)
Septorhinoplasty aims to improve the outward appearance of the nose while also correcting the crooked internal partition (the septum) to ease breathing.
What is it?
It is the correction of a deviated septum (a crooked nasal partition) performed in the same session as aesthetic rhinoplasty. It is an approach that combines aesthetics and function, where ENT expertise comes to the fore.
Who is it suitable for?
It may be considered for people who are both unhappy with the appearance of their nose and experiencing difficulty breathing or nasal congestion.
How is it done?
Along with aesthetic shaping, the deviated septum is corrected and, if needed, structures that narrow the airway are addressed. It is usually performed under general anesthesia.
Recovery process
Recovery is similar to aesthetic rhinoplasty. The improvement in breathing is felt more clearly as the swelling subsides.
